My First Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning.

Thank you so much for stopping by and joining us for the My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.  This is my first blog hop and so I'm really excited!  I do have a couple projects to share with everyone and I hope you enjoy them.

My first project I made with the new Artiste Cartridge from CTMH.  It's and awesome cartridge and it's turning out to be my new go to cartridge.  It's a cute little box that I put bakers twine on the spools.  It was fun and really easy to make.

First I cut out all the parts that I needed, the bow too!   I just used cardstock that I had and have no idea where I got it or who makes it.  I've had it for years!!  lol

The great thing about the new Artiste Cartridge is that the book haves pictures to show you how to put all of the projects on the cartridge together and the page number that the project is on.  I'm hoping all the new cartridges have the same thing, it's awesome.  So I scored all of the creases of the box.

The cartridge book also shows where to glue and it goes together really easily.  I added the bow to the front of the box and then wrapped the twine around the cardstock spools.

After I wrapped the twine around the spools I wrote the color across the top.  I thought it turned out kind of cute!  lol

So that was my twine box.  My next project was with the Forever Young Cartridge.   If you know me, you know what I chose to do with the cartridge, purse of course!!  I'm such a girlie girl and I love purses.  I cut the purses out with the same cardstock I used for the twine box, but also used a few scraps that I had laying around for a couple.  The 2 purses that have the flowers, I also made the flowers and I used the Artiste cartridge.   I used buttons and brads for the front 3 decorations and bling on the handle.

My last project is a bit of a disappointment, but didn't have time to do another one, so oh well.  lol  I had planned on doing something recipe related from the From The Kitchen cartridge.  Well, everything I had planned on doing didn't work out or I couldn't find what I was looking for.  So I thought of my grandmother and thought I'd do a Smash page on my grandmother's apron.  I made a cute apron and it went downhill from there.   It does look better in person, don't know why I couldn't get a good picture.

I always think about my grandmother and miss her so much.  She was such a wonderful woman and I hope my grandchildren love me like I loved her.  So I just kind of told the story of her apron or what she carried in her pocket of her apron.  She did chase us around with the wooden spoon and if it broke on you, you were in trouble!!  lol  She was always in the kitchen cooking and don't remember her not wearing an apron unless she went to the store or somewhere out.

And if you're wondering about the dime, that's another story.  But if you were in my family and found a dime, you would know that grandmom was there!  True story, ask anyone in my family, even my hubby is convinced!!  That's the dime that he found a couple of days ago.

Thanks again for stopping by!!

I love your projects! I like the SMASH page! I must agree pics of my SMASH entries don't turn out too well either. I think it's because there's so much on them compared to LOs!

What awesome projects Susie! How funny, I had the same idea when I saw the spool of thread in the Artiste handbook, thats one of the reason I want that cart, but alas dont have the cart yet :( I love the fact you can create a box for it too using the same cart, awesome -didnt realize that.
TFS!
