My First Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room
100 Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop Day ONE

You should have started at http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/ if not please start at the beginning.

Thank you so much for stopping by and joining us for the My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop.  This is my first blog hop and so I'm really excited!  I do have a couple projects to share with everyone and I hope you enjoy them.

My first project I made with the new Artiste Cartridge from CTMH.  It's and awesome cartridge and it's turning out to be my new go to cartridge.  It's a cute little box that I put bakers twine on the spools.  It was fun and really easy to make.

First I cut out all the parts that I needed, the bow too!   I just used cardstock that I had and have no idea where I got it or who makes it.  I've had it for years!!  lol

The great thing about the new Artiste Cartridge is that the book haves pictures to show you how to put all of the projects on the cartridge together and the page number that the project is on.  I'm hoping all the new cartridges have the same thing, it's awesome.  So I scored all of the creases of the box.

The cartridge book also shows where to glue and it goes together really easily.  I added the bow to the front of the box and then wrapped the twine around the cardstock spools.

After I wrapped the twine around the spools I wrote the color across the top.  I thought it turned out kind of cute!  lol

So that was my twine box.  My next project was with the Forever Young Cartridge.   If you know me, you know what I chose to do with the cartridge, purse of course!!  I'm such a girlie girl and I love purses.  I cut the purses out with the same cardstock I used for the twine box, but also used a few scraps that I had laying around for a couple.  The 2 purses that have the flowers, I also made the flowers and I used the Artiste cartridge.   I used buttons and brads for the front 3 decorations and bling on the handle.

My last project is a bit of a disappointment, but didn't have time to do another one, so oh well.  lol  I had planned on doing something recipe related from the From The Kitchen cartridge.  Well, everything I had planned on doing didn't work out or I couldn't find what I was looking for.  So I thought of my grandmother and thought I'd do a Smash page on my grandmother's apron.  I made a cute apron and it went downhill from there.   It does look better in person, don't know why I couldn't get a good picture.

I always think about my grandmother and miss her so much.  She was such a wonderful woman and I hope my grandchildren love me like I loved her.  So I just kind of told the story of her apron or what she carried in her pocket of her apron.  She did chase us around with the wooden spoon and if it broke on you, you were in trouble!!  lol  She was always in the kitchen cooking and don't remember her not wearing an apron unless she went to the store or somewhere out.

And if you're wondering about the dime, that's another story.  But if you were in my family and found a dime, you would know that grandmom was there!  True story, ask anyone in my family, even my hubby is convinced!!  That's the dime that he found a couple of days ago.

Thanks again for stopping by!!

My Imagine-ation Monday

Today is My Imagine-ation Monday and the Letter of the Day is I.  I tried to think out the box for this one and decided to Smash it!  I've had my Smash book for probably a year and it's been sitting on my desk collecting dust and odds and ends from different things I've been doing.  So I decided to use the letter "I" literally, so this is a "I" Love project.

I'm still a horrible picture taker, but think I'm getting better!  lol  I did use the Artiste and the Forever Young cartridges.  The "I's", the hearts and bow are with the Artiste.  The image of the woman is from the Forever Young cartridge.  The hardest part for me to do a Smash book is that I'm a major chunky scrapper!  I love big bulky flowers and embellishments and it was hard to for me to scale down the bulk.  I did get a couple bows and buttons on there, but that's about all the bulk I did.

When I first started scrapbooking I used a computer to print out all my journaling and wording on my layouts.  When my son graduated from high school I made him a scrapbook from birth to his graduation.  He did love it, but gave it back to me and told me he would like to have my writing rather than from the computer.  So since then I've tried to make a point to use my own writing, but it's a lot of pressure!!!  lol  I've just come to the conclusion that life isn't perfect and so my journaling doesn't need to be perfect either.  I am only human.

I did have fun doing this and have some of my loves.  I'm going to keep going with the these of all things I love throughout this Smash book.  I have a couple others now that I can use for other things and I'm sure they'll be full of all kinds of different things.  I did have fun with rub-ons too, I haven't used them in years and they were great for fill ins.

So I hope you enjoyed My Imagine-ation Monday project and I'm sure I'll be talking to you soon!  I'm still getting my projects ready for the 100 Cartridge Hop this weekend, it will be awesome!!

You Know What Wednesday Means??

That's right, Would You Ever Guess Wednesday!!

This week I was working on a layout for my best furry friend Cozad that I lost in January.  He was such a great dog and I still miss him.  Cozad was a black lab and 17 years old.  He did live a good life, but still hated it when he went over the rainbow bridge.

So I didn't finish the layout, still a little bit too soon I think.  I'm a sucker for my dogs and just going through the pictures made me cry.  Miss Max passed in December, she was her daddy's girl, but I do miss her too.  Miss Max just didn't touch my heart the way my Cozad did.

Here is the tag that I made that will be going onto a layout and into a doggie book when I catch up a little bit.  I used the new Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to My Heart and it's still one of my favorites.

Cozad's nickname was The Zad Man or ball boy.  He always wanted to play ball and always had a ball in his mouth.   The dog ribbon I picked up at Walmart a long time ago, thought it was cute.

I'm not sure who makes the paper that I used, but I think it was a DCWV pet stack.  I have a box just for animal stuff and thought this was cute with the paw prints.

He's the peek-a-boo part.  lol  Not really sure if it's an actual peek-a-boo, but it does sound cuter than it opens.

Still working on lots of projects for the upcoming 100 Cartridge Hop, so stay turned for that, it should be a fun hop with lots of great inspiration!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and sorry if I got sentimental.  I am one of those people that believe that pets are part of the family and my dogs are my furry children.

Take care and talk to you soon!!

Mini-Album Friday!

It's Mini-Album Friday for the MCCR Design Team!

This is my first from scratch mini-album and finally get to use the cereal boxes that I've been saving for years.  I bought a deep-cut blade for my Cricut and have been cutting away!  Went better than I thought it would, but will keep 'playing' with the new Artiste cartridge from Close to my Heart.  It's an awesome cartridge and love the instruction booklet that comes with it.

So this is my Cricut cutting a cereal box to make the cover for the mini-album.

It did an excellent job cutting the cereal box, it was a really thick one.   I did tape it down to the mat in a couple places because I was worried it would pop off.

The other cool thing about this cartridge is that it has scoring lines, so this is the 'chipboard' after I scored it!   I love making mini-albums and had a great time making it all by myself.  I do have a scoring blade for my Cricut, but didn't want to play with it and ruin my project!!

If you know me you know that I ink everything!!  My hands are always inked up and my nails always look dirty.  I'm into brown inks and so I tried to use brighter colors of papers for this album.   The paper I had out on my table was Pink Paisley and so I decided it would make a pretty mini-album.  These are the individual pages after I inked them.

The mini-album was really easy to put together.  I wasn't happy with the ribbon I picked, but was having a hard time getting to my ribbon rack and this brown was handy.  I'm sure I'll be changing it for a red and blue, but didn't have either one of those that was thin enough to go through the holes.

Of course after I got it all put together and tied, I decided that the pages would rip, so I added eyelets to the pages and retied it.  So here are the pages with the flower eyelets.  It's been so long since I used eyelets I had to do a couple to practice with my Cropodile (another one of my favorite tools).   So now I tied it up again, but it was easier with the eyelets.

I did make some flowers to decorate the front cover, but decided to make one of the cute bows o the cartridge.  I can use the flowers later and the bows are cute and super easy.  Here is the bow on the front cover of the mini-album.  The album actually ties on the bottom, but I tie the worst bows, so I'm not going to show you the bottom.  It looks like a purse to me, so it'll probably have a handle on it and little feet.   hehehe

Since I decided it looked like a purse I put Velcro under the flap to keep it closed and it works really well.  Could take a picture of both sides, so this is the Velcro dot one the fold over flap.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you enjoyed checking out my mini-album!   From my last post I didn't finish my canvas, but I finally found some lace that I liked and that would work.  I did end up buying as couple different ones, but this is the one that I liked the best, so here are a couple pictures of my finished canvas.

This is the top of the canvas.  The lace that I chose had ribbon running through it, so I gathered it an made a bow from the ribbon that I ended up cutting off.  It's not really what I would call lace, but that's what it said it was.  lol

This is the finished canvas.  It's done, but still not exactly what I wanted, but I am happy with it and will leave it alone!!  lol   Yes, I am one of those people that redo things and are never happy with how things turn out.  I am my own worst critic.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I will talk to you again soon.  I can't believe how long it's been since I posted last.

Been Having Fun With My Cricut!

Been Playing and Having Fun with my Cricut!

Have stuff everywhere as usual and as always still looking for that 'just right' embellishment.  This week though it's that 'just right' lace.  With all of the lace and ribbon I have, I can't believe I can't find what I want for this project.   I know I will and when I find it I will re-post my 'finished' project.

So first I used the Summer In Paris cartridge, which is one of my favorites apparently since I use it a lot.  I used the negative of the dress forms that I cut and did send it through the Xyron to make it stick down.   I used  Tattered Angles Sand and sprayed the image onto the 8x8 canvas  I did put paper around the edges of the negative dress forms so I wouldn't get a square from over spray.  I love the Canvas Corp canvas', they're awesome and so much fun.

Here is a picture of the negative dress forms that I used in case you don't have any idea what I'm talking about!  I am horrible at trying to explain what I'm talking about and usually just confuse people.  lol

I did rotate the one on the far right so it wasn't facing the same way as the other one on the left.  I used my Cricut Expressions 2 and just love it!!

Here is the almost finished project I made.  For the flowers and the frames I used the Art Philosophy cartridge from CTMH, another one of my favorite cartridges.  I have fun making the flowers, I have the all over in different colors and shapes.

After I was done placing everything where I was happy with it, I re-sprayed the whole canvas with Sand again.  Once I find the perfect lace, I may also ink the edges of the canvas.

If you couldn't tell, I'm a total bling and bows kind of crafter and usually throw in a couple buttons for good measure.

Well have a great rest of the week and talk to you again soon!!

Fast Week, Thursday Already!

Well it's already Thursday and I'm so not ready for the weekend yet. lol I know, everyone is always ready for the weekend, but his weekend is hubby's birthay/retirement party and I still need a few more days to get ready!! I'm sure I'll be ready, but I want everything perfect.

Tomorrow is my son's birthday and he'll be 35. I can't believe how fast time goes by and I miss the child he was, but so proud of the man he has become. Anthony has a great heart and he's such a wonderful person. He does have his moments, but we all do. He's coming over to help me out a bit and spend the night and am very excited I get to spend his birthday with him!!

This was Anthony at 3 months and I've always loved this picture!

I thought I had a newer picture of him, but not on this computer, but hoping to take some pictures this weekend and I'll post a couple.

So have to run, still lots to do and I'll talk to you again really soon!

Fun Friday, Work Saturday, Lazy Sunday!

It's been a whirlwind weekend! Friday had such a fun day and night in Walnut Creek and then the class in Brentwood. Sara met us at her home and made us a taco lunch, which was excellent. Spent some time playing with her dog Cody before I left for my class and Richard stayed there. Richard and Sara spent the evening picking up the crib and dresser and they had a heck of a time and had to make a couple of trips to Babies R Us. They did have a good time though and got to spend some quality time just the two of them.

The class Friday night in Brentwood was so much fun. There were around 14 of us and Sherry Mendoza with Prima was such fun and very funny. I did learn a lot of different techniques and I do love working with canvas. I didn't get a chance to finish my album, but took a few pictures of Sherry's for future reference. Hope I get to take another one of her classes in the future.

On Saturday we loaded up a queen bed from Sara's house and brought it home. Bringing home the bed was the easy part other than loading it up and driving it back. I hate it when I can't see out the mirror and then driving on a freeway I'm not familiar with for over 2 hours with wind! We get the bed home and have to move the double bed out of our bedroom, carry it to the front yard, clean out under the bed and then vacuum where the bed was and of course the rest of the room too. Now we have to bring the queen bed in the house and set it up if we want a place to sleep. Well of course the frame that we have is supposed to be a full/queen and the new queen mattress doesn't fit the frame, so it's now on the floor. We should have taken the frame that Sara had, but we thought we had one. Now she has to bring us the frame on Saturday when she comes, not a problem. Sunday I did get some cleaning done and did 4 loads of laundry, mostly bedding and dog blankets, but nothing since then. Dinner was easy, so clean up was a breeze too!

So now ready for Monday and getting ready for our party on Saturday, Richard's 60th birthday and retirement party. I think we're having around 60 people, so have lots and lots to do to get ready. Richard is doing outside and I'm of course doing the inside and making lists. I have to plan my days or I won't get everything done. I have lists by stores and I did finally ask a few people to bring some things, food of course. I don't want to kill myself trying to make everything.

Here are a few of the pictures I took of Sherry's album from Friday and can't wait to finish mine, but I'm sure it won't look anything like hers. I did buy a few things that we used in class, but couldn't afford to get everything and I really wanted to! hehehe

This is the cover of the Album, it's Prima Mixed Media Resist Canvas Album and we used the Inner Pages Refill kit to do the pages.

These are a couple of the other pages from her album. I was rushed when I was taking the pictures and so they're not so great and these are the only pages I got to take pictures of. I'm hoping she'll have some pictures on her blog or somewhere that I can look at too.

I will talk to you soon, going to be a very busy week for me, but will make some time to post. I have a post for Tuesday with the DT, so I will probably see you then!

Ready For The Weekend!

Am so ready for this weekend and I don't even work! It's been so hot and the heat makes me not want to do anything. We don't have A/C, but we do have a swamp cooler or water cooler and it helps, but only to a certain point. The cooler works good in the rooms their in, but my craft room is not one of those rooms! lol My craft room is also next to the laundry room and OMG, it gets hot when the dryer is going.

Well tomorrow is Friday and I get to go to Walnut Creek to see my step-daughter who is pregnant with our first grandchild that's due the end of September. We are very excited about that, just wish they weren't 2 hours away, but it could be worse.

The reason we're going to Walnut Creek is I'm going to take a mixed media class with Prima's own Sherry Mendoza from Australia! I am so excited!!! The class is actually in Brentwood, but it's only a half and hour or so from Sara and Adam's house. The class isn't over until 10, so we're going to be spending the night and having some quality time with Sara. Adam is working out of town and won't be home until Sunday, so we won't get to see him this visit.

So hopefully Saturday or Sunday I'll be posting some pictures from my class. I've known Sherry for a while and it's so cool that I'll finally get to meet her and also take a Prima class!!! I've been really getting into the mixed media art, it's so much fun and you can get very creative!

So talk to you soon and hope you have a great weekend!!

It's Card Tuesday!

It's Card Creating Tuesday at My Cricut Craft Room and my first post as a new design team member.

So here is the card that I made for Card Tuesday. It's an Over The Hill Card and used the cartridge with the same name. For the Frames I used the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge. It's a fairly simple card, I just cut out a few different sizes of frames and layered them and them a few images from the Over The Hill cartridge.

Here is the front of the card -

Here is the inside of the card -

Thank you for stopping by and you can go to My Cricut Craft Room and check out what the other design teams members came up with.

Talk to you soon!!

Hot Sunday - Awesome Announcement

Well Sunday is here, but it's freakin' hot again and it's supposed to be over 100 all week and I'm so not happy about that!! I hate the heat and it makes me grouchy too.

So for the announcement, I am one the new Design Team Members for My Cricut Craft Room . I am very excited, this is my first DT!! Here is a list of the new Design Team, it's a big list!!

Here are my really bad pictures of my projects that I submitted, I really need to work on how to photograph cards and layouts. Any advice would be appreciated!! lol

This is a tag I made to put into my canvas album. I used the Summer In Paris and Cricut Cartridge and the flower was made with the Art Philosophy (CTMH) cartridge.

This is a farm/tractor album I'm making for my brother-in-law and I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for the little man and the tractor. The alphabet was done with the Old West cartridge.

This is the canvas album that's still in progress and mostly used the Summer In Paris cartridge. Again, sorry my pictures are horrible!

Lastly, these are the graduation cards I made for this years graduates using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. For the wording on the outside and inside I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge.

So that's my news for the day and I'll be posting a lot more stuff in the days and weeks to come. I wanted to get a running start, but hubby gave me his flu, so I've been sick and hoping I feel better later today or tomorrow. Lots and lots to do, this is a very busy time of the year! We're having a birthday/retirement party for hubby, first grandbaby on the way and just life happening all over the place. We're usually pretty much homebodies, but so far this summer we're running and don't expect to stop until around the second week of September!!

Have a great day and I'll talk to you soon!

It's Thursday Already!

I can't believe it's Thursday already!! With the 4th on Wednesday my week is all messed up and don't know what day it is. I'll probably be confused until Saturday when I have lots to do helping with the C.O.R.E. Projects garage sale in Sacramento. If you can make it you should come out, there's going to be lots of cool finds!! lol If you can make it the address is 3548 53rd Street, Sacramento, Ca 95820. Maybe I'll see you there, helping set up, so probably be gone early. I've been going through lots of clothes and other stuff looking for items to donate and came up with tons of stuff!!

I've been so busy cleaning and going through things I haven't had time to do any fun stuff. I do need to take some pictures though, thought I had some to share, but I can't find them. I have lots of garage sale stuff in my craft room, so I'll take some quick pictures tomorrow while I'm in there. I was looking around in there earlier today and hated that I didn't have time to do anything. I did get a new to me rolling stand for in there and going to take the old one to the garage sale. The new one to me is really nice and my Cricut Imagine fits, along with other stuff too and the cartridges fit in the 2 sides that have doors. Will try to take pictures of that too, it's pretty cool and swivels. My mom got a new TV that we picked up for her last weekend and so she didn't need this cabinet any longer, so it came home with me. I have the Imagine put away for now though, have the E2 out since it fit better on the other cabinet and just going to keep rolling along with it for a while.

Sorry to run off at the mouth, lots going on in my mind tonight. Hope everyone had an awesome 4th and I'll see you tomorrow!

Talk to you soon.

Oh My, It's Been a Week!!

How does the time go by so quickly, it's been a week since my last post (I feel like I'm in confession)! It's that time of year I guess when we're so busy and the time is just flying by. It seems that every day lately we're running somewhere or busy doing something. It is nice, but I have so much to do!! lol Still need to get things together for hubby's birthday/retirement party on the 21st of July, haven't even decided what to have food wise!! Of course there's lots of cleaning to be done, but with the 3 dogs that's more of a few days before the party thing. I never realized how much dogs shed and just plain dog dust everywhere. I've gone from dusting daily to just once a week, it makes me too crazy doing it everyday. I do have to sweep and vacuum everyday though, I can't stand the hair!! Tomorrow is the day, I have no where to go and other than the daily cleaning, nothing to do. I need to start getting my craft on and get things done. I got my Over The Hill Cricut cartridge on Friday and can't wait to make some party decorations with it. I also have a few things started that I need to finish up too.

So I'll be back tomorrow and hopefully have made some progress!! I keep promising pictures, so here's a picture of my puppy Millie, she's about 7 months old now and about 6 months in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by and talk to you soon!!

Another Weekend Gone!

The weekends seem to go by so fast, but the weekdays just drag sometimes. Kept pretty busy this weekend though, we even went out on Saturday night and we haven't been out in what seems like years!! lol Went out to dinner with friends and then went to listen to a band we all like play in Lincoln. We had a good time and the people were so nice, will hopefully go there again soon.

Did get a little bit of crafting done today finally, but everything I did didn't seem to work out. Sometimes I get ideas in my head, but they don't exactly come out right. I did get my area cleaned up though, so it's a lot easier to do things.

I'm very excited I signed up for Sherry Mendoza's class in Brentwood on July 13th, been wanting to take one of her classes for a while, but it never seemed to work out. Sherry works for Prima Marketing Flowers and is the Editor for the My Prima Place. She's coming all the way from Sydney, Australia. We've never met, but we chat often, so I'm so excited to finally meet her. Since Brentwood is a few hours away and is pretty close to my step-daughter's home, we're going to make it an overnight adventure!! lol My dogs won't be so happy about it, but they always forgive us.

Hopefully crafting will go better tomorrow and I'll have some things to share. Need to work on an over-the-hill theme birthday party/retirement party for my hubby. We're having a birthday/retirement party for him on July 21st, so I'm waiting for my new Cricut cartridge to come.

Well hope everyone had a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon!!

Happy Crafting!!

I'm Not Horrible, Just Boring!

It has been a while, but haven't had anything new to add or to say. It is Friday, but when you're not working every day is Saturday! lol We did go to my moms on Tuesday to make goodies with my son. He picked a 5 gallon bucket of cherries on Monday, so we went over there to help him. We did make carrot cupcakes, but those were for hubby since I didn't save him a piece of carrot cake a few weeks ago at the graduation party I went to. Anthony makes really good carrot cake, but the cupcakes we can freeze and just take one out when we want one and don't have to eat the whole cake before it goes bad.

Here's the cherries, pie and jam! Anthony is quite the little cook. Didn't stay to try the pie, but it does look good.

Will be crafting this weekend, starting today and hope to get some projects made and finished. Been feeling crafty, but haven't had the time. Haven't heard from either of the design teams I applied for and not sure if that's good or not, but neither have posted anything, so not rejected yet! lol My fingers are still crossed for both and will post when I hear.

Have a Happy Friday and a great weekend!!

Talk to you soon!

Hello Monday!

It's Monday again and had a crazy weekend. I only got to make one of the three graduation parties we were invited, but it was three and a half hours away. Richard made it to the other two though, so that's a good thing. I did end up going to Morgan Hill by myself, but it was a nice break for me. Listened to my cd's really loud and sang badly, so it was fun. lol

Haven't heard anything from either of the DT's, not sure if that's good or bad, but I'm being patient. I was going to do a few other projects this last weekend, but never did find the time, so this week I'll get some things done and post them here.

I think it's going to be a busy summer, having a birthday retirement party for Richard on July 221st, so have lots to do. He decided he wanted to have a party since we finally found out that he gets SSDI. We've been trying for a year and got one denial, but just got the award letter on Friday, so we're very happy!! It's still not right, but I'm sure they'll fix it and we do know that we will have some money coming in now and so we're not worried.

So I'm sure I will be busy crafting this week and will be posting pictures as soon as I'm done. It'll probably take me two days to clean up the mess I have in my room, but it's always fun to play around.

Talk to you soon and thanks for stopping by!

I Finally Did It!

It's done, I've applied for a DT and a position for a Cricut instructor! I'm very nervous and excited at the same time, but it's a good feeling either way. Not sure if I have a shot at either one, but I did do it and that's a big step for me. I'm not one of those people that are secure in showing off their projects, but I'm trying to crawl out of my shell and become one of those people!

Here are a few sneak peeks so to speak and will post the actual pictures once I hear back either way. The one is a little blurry close up, but I'm not a photographer and need to work on my camera skills in a big way!! I have a nice camera, just need to take the time to learn how to use it.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hopefully I'll have some good news soon. Even if I don't make the DT or get the job, I'll keep trying until I make at least one DT.

Talk to you soon and have a great day!!

Another Weekend Gone!

This weekend flew by, but did get lots done today and will be all done tomorrow. Wasted a lot of paper yesterday, but used lots to day and thing worked out so much better. I'm not sure about what I've made, but I'm happy with how things turned out. Need to put some final touches on the canvas book project, but then I'll take pictures and submit everything. I am very excited and nervous at the same time! My Cricut did get a workout this weekend and used some cartridges I hadn't had an opportunity to use before. I have lots of cartridges that I haven't used, but going to make it a point to use them all by the end of the month. All the cartridges I do have, I have plans for, so going to be making my Cricut smoke and beg for a rest.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of what's left of the weekend and be back tomorrow with a sneak peek, but can't post my projects until after I've been accepted for the DT's I'm putting in for (did you notice I assume I'm going to be picked! hehehe). No, I'm not that confident, but just being hopeful.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Wasted Paper Kind of Saturday!

I spent all day in my craft room pretty much just wasting paper. I have scraps of paper all over and nothing to show for it but a pile of cut-outs with no purpose. I'd get an idea to do something, cut stuff out and then hated it. I am my own worst critic and I hate that about myself. It was just one of those days, will be better tomorrow hopefully. I didn't throw anything away of course, I'm sure I will use these things for something down the line or maybe another idea will come to me in the night I hope.

Another Saturday night and nothing going on and absolutely nothing on TV. Was thinking about renting a movie earlier today and now I wish I had, there are a few movies I'd like to see.

So we'll try this again tomorrow and hopefully I will have better luck or not be so critical with myself. So hope you're having a great Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow!

Talk to you soon!

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! It's always a wonderful feeling when the weekend finally gets here. I am not currently working, but still love the weekends. Been a crazy busy week as usual lately, way too much still going on and can't wait for it to ease up for the better and thinking it should be soon. Haven't been doing what I'm supposed to be doing in my scraproom, have been totally distracted and so not in the mood. Took some tests this week and was waiting and waiting for the results and now my doctor is on vacation and won't be back until the 5th. UGH!! lol Nothing serious wrong, but would like to know what he plans on doing or if I need to go see someone else. It'll all work out, I'm just not a patient person and want whatever needs to be done done now!!

All weekend I will be working though, got lots to do and running out of time and I hope I don't blow up my Cricut from working it to death. Both of the DT I'm applying for are Cricut DT's, so I'm still excited. I did go to Michael's today, can't remember the last time I was there, so I had a great time. I looked all over and did find a few treasures of course.

Did get a mouse today for my laptop and then I can use the desktop when I have time to update my blog. I probably didn't mention that I went to use my desktop the other day and the keyboard wasn't working. I lifted it up to make sure it was plugged in and the end of the cord was chewed in half!! Never really gave much thought to Millie, our 6 month old puppy, laying under the desk until that moment! I've been using my wireless mouse on my laptop and didn't want to give it up, so I just bought another one. The mouse and the keyboard I got for Christmas and are wireless, so now Millie has no cord hanging down to tempt her and when I need the desktop it'll be ready.

So I will be back tomorrow with my progress and hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Tuesday Already!

Holiday weekends are really nice, but Tuesday now feels like Monday and this week is going to just fly by. Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend.

Did do some scrapbooking this weekend, but not near as much as I wanted to. I had such a big mess that I had to take some time out and clear it off. I did find a few things that I was missing, so that's always a good thing. I'm still working on items for the 2 design teams that I want to try out for, so please wish me luck. One of them could even lead to a paying job, so really wish me luck on that one!!

Hoping to get everything done this week and will be trying my best. I knew I was slow, but now I believe I'm beyond slow, I think about everything just way too much. I put stuff down, leave, come back, look at it again and either decide to move some things or glue it down. Does everyone do this or am I just crazy!!!

So I should be keeping myself busy coming up with one more project and putting the finishing touches on what I've almost got done. Will post a couple progress pictures in a couple of days, but not sure if I can post the project pictures until after I hear if I've made the DT's or not. Keep everything crossed for me please!!

Talk to you soon!
